Christmas is coming. We are getting super excited. These are a few of our favorite things to do.....

My good friend chris made this santa in honor of a dear friend bunny. I cried my brains out. Every piece was so iconic Bunny.

Emma and i had a great time decorating the house, the tree, and setting up the christmas village. We have watched Elf 2 x, the polar express once, and the Santa version of baby Einstein like a million times, Emma thought polar express was a bit scary though. We have been on search for our copy of Christmas Vacation. We need to find it stat...it is not christmas without Clark Griswald.

Most importantly, i hope my kids understand the importance of christmas. I want them to know of the testimony greg and i share for our savior Jesus Christ and that Christmas is a time to remember him and celebrate his life and sacrifice.

Since the little buddy was born....

Well 2010 has surely had its ups and downs. Thats for sure. We have so much to be thankful for. 1st and foremost the birth of the little buddy Weston. What a great boy. He is always smiling and happy. Very very easy baby. Good thing because the cuter he gets the more sassy Emma becomes. She is has gone through a whole list of emotions. First, i think the introduction of a little brother threw her. She was a bit jeoulous and felt the need to scream her emotions and act out. It was actually quite entertaining. She has now come to the realization that he isnt going anywhere and has embraced him. She has even come a bit possesive over him. Great big sister. She sings, dances, and poses for him (see above pictures...she has watched to many ANTM's with mom), holds him, feeds him, changes his diapers, makes him laugh, turns on baby einsteins for him, and once tried to lift him from his chair to the other room, ultimately dropping him on the tile floor. He was just fine grandma! Needless to say emma is not allowed to carry him through the house and especially down the stairs. But, she is the best sis and would do anything for him!

Weston has experienced all the Bellessa family has to offer. We have been to the condo in bear lake, been to multiple aggie games, watched many cowboy games (even if they are losing), was blessed by his father in october, shopping with mom at the crazy draper costco multiple times, hung out with his favorite babysitter kassie shoell, trick or treating as a dragon, hung out at the condo in park city for a week (he said he cant wait to hit the slopes with us in a few years), witnessed the amazing swiss days event in midway with grandma and grandpa, been to too many zumba classes with mom (he is going to be the best salsa dancer), naps and dates with aunt mandy, hung out with cousins, and most of all...received many many loves and kisses from all of us. We are so lucky! Welcome to our crazy life little buddy!

what a blessing a little boy is! Emma is still not so sure!

He came 2 weeks early and i was just fine with that. carrying him around in 100 heat was enough. However, Good thing he held on till monday morning to come...we were just in idaho the day before. nothing against having him in idaho but....not having my dr. or anything i need and then the long ride home....phew is all i have to say.

Wow, Emma is 4!

Emma had a Roller Skate Party at Classic. It really brought me back like 15-20 years ago. They have added many new activities however. The kids had a blast in the karaoke room where the party was held. They bounced in the jump houses, played in the jungle, ate pizza, cake, soda, (lots of healthy stuff) and of course "rocked the rink" as Emma would say. Emma even had her grandparents in attandance. Grandma Jana sure knows how to move on the rink. (now i know where i get my mad skills, too bad i could not show them off) Impressive, mom! Well, Happy Birthday to a special little Girl, we love you em!

A Birthday Tea Party

Emma has been three now for a month...here are pictures from her birthday tea party. What a perfect day.... it was the only day in march that was 70 Degrees. Two days later it snowed!Emma invited all her best girlfriends...they adorned hats with glitter, butterflies and flowers, ate finger sandwiches, poured faux tea for eachother, and overall had a splendid time. TA TA!

Emma rocked her first day on the slopes! Well, with Grandpa Dave, Dad and Mom teaching her she had to do well. I was nervous she was not going to like it...because it was pouring rain...a dreary day to ski...but she loved it. By the 2nd run she wanted to do it all on our own. So greg would let her ski to me and then i would let go of her and she would ski to dad. The best is when she was skiing down with grandpa he had her yelling "Hey, doesn't it make you feel good?" to all the skiiers passing by.

Emma's new thing is to play mommy. She gets all of her dollies and animals, wraps them up in blankies and reads them a story. The only small problem is that she puts them to sleep in our front room....needless to stay they have been sleeping in this room for the last week. If we even think about moving them...emma has a cow. Oh well...we love that she has become so grown up!

An Amazing Deal

Can you believe it...one of my best girlfriends(who was 7 months prego on the show) totally won $1,000,000 last night on deal or no deal. I am so happy for her... and nobody deserves it more than Jess and Ross.

It was so much fun watching the show with her last night. It was way intense....none of us knew because she has had to keep it quiet since July 8th. The second to last case we were all just sobbing because we knew regardless she would win a butt loud of money. Either 200,000 or one million. So of course you have to go for it. She did... and then the final #4 case was opened and there it was $1,000,000. We freaked out. WOO WOO! ( if you watched you would know what that means)

...And NO she is not naming her baby howie.

the Year of a Million Dreams

Lets start off by saying it is okay to take a 2 year old to Disneyland. Everybody told me "she is way to young"...no way. Emma Loved every minute of it. Best of all she was free. Emmas only issues were the characters in costume like Mickey, Pooh Bear and Tigger.(she could only handle them from a distance.) However she loved loved loved the princesses...it is worth the 1 1/2 hour line to meet them!

From Peter Pans Flight to the Haunted Mansion Emma was entertained. It was by far the best family vacation we have taken since Emma was born. Disneyland is the the Happiest Place on Earth!

Our Favorite item of the week....Juno and the Moldy Peaches (song: anyone else but you)They kind of go hand and hand. Greg and I were not so sure of this movie at first. But we hung in there after juno makes a visit to the Women Now clinic. "Where they help women now" ....we laughed until we cried. I love humor that makes you wonder if you even should be laughing...but you do because you cant help yourself. if you have not seen it...go out and buy it. We were first in line.

FYI.... an Easter bunny or any kind of character may not be the best idea for a 2 year old party...Emma was terrified of the Bunny!!! More than any other child. Everyone else had a great time but the birthday girl wanted nothing but the bunny to leave. After the bunny left Emma said "bye bye bunny....scary bunny"

Gregs family has always had a long running tradition....the week before someones birthday you celebrate. This is called JUBILEE week. You do things such as make that persons bed, put notes in their sack lunches, give them lots of loves and some small gifts, make their favorite meals, etc. So this week as we prepare for emmas 2nd birthday(and since we already do those things for emma becasue she is only 2) we will make sure to give her extra attention and lots of loves....treat her like a princess. Because of course that is what she believes she is.

We will finish off jubilee week with a huge Bday party. The easter bunny will be making an appearance. I pray that all of the kids wont run off screaming. Wouldnt that be the plan that kills the party. Well keep our fingers crossed and the video camera ready!

So Happy Birthday Em! We love you SOOOOOO much! Its been a great Year!

Zoo Animals!

Emma and one of her best friends Hazel enjoying the Zoo. Emma's favorite animals were the monkeys and the cheetah. Hazels favorite animal was the giraffe. Everyone should go to the zoo during the winter....the animals are more active! It was funny em and haze walked around saying "Raaar"(lion) and "EEE EEE"(monkey) and we never could figure out what the giraffe says!

We made it a tradition to visit Gardner Village when all the witches are out. Makes for some great photos. However, Emma is so crazy half the time...this is what we ended up with this year.

Come Halloween you will see Emma decked out in her Dorothy Costume. And the best of all is that Diggy will play Toto. Perfect!

More Like there is no freaking place that carries Ruby Red Slippers. I had to call every target, wal mart and Payless and bid on every Ebay pair until I finally found them. Yea, My Halloween is complete.

Betty Crocker Gets Schooled

Summer and Kerry are here from LA we have been busy promoting Eliza Magazine. Sunday was a great day...Started off with a great message from President Hinckley at Stake
Conference....Came home Napped! The Cowboys won (that will put Greg in a good mood for about 3 days) and the Sox are in the lead. However me, Summer and Emma wanted to have some girl time so we made COOKIES! Chocolate Chunk Cookies.... And Emma even found time take a break to get a little lovin from Fame Dog.We only wish you were all here to try the Cookies. So you will just have to make them yourselves!

Bellessa's Famous Chocolate Chunk Cookies

3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Packed Brown Sugar (i add a smidge more)
1 c Butter softened
1 large Egg
2 1/4 c Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Bag Chocolate Chips or 2 c Chocolate Chunks

Drop by the tablespoon full
Bake at 375 until they turn golden brown on the edges.
Makes 2 dozen

We decided to celebrate in Jackson Hole.

We spent some time in Yellowstone too...

Greg was pretty excited about Old Faithful!

On the way home we stopped in St Anthony

to go Riding. It was my first time. It was great...

I even got the horse to gallop.and of course

Firsts

Emma has had a couple firsts in the last month.

Emma took her first ride at lagoon on her own. Well she was sat with a couple other kids who i felt really bad for...they did not really enjoy the ride and neither did Emma.

Well just stick to her new slide from now on. She can handle this ride.

Crossroads, the jumbo slide and footlong corndogs...YES!

We headed out early so we could visit the animals before the band, Crossraods went on. Emma has been learning about Farm Animals. The whole time we heard MOO...it didnt even matter what the animal was...they all said MOO!

We are Crossroads Groupies...especially Emma. She loves to see her Grandpa and Aunt Mandy on Stage. "They Rocked" as Greg put it.

After the performance, a footlong corndog, french fries, some BAD homemade rootbeer and Gregs visit with a few carnies we slid down the Jumbo Slide to end our night. Yee Haw! Cant wait until next Year.
